The Friends of the EGR Library established itself in 1958 with the sole intention of bringing a library to East Grand Rapids.

Our first location opened in February 1959 and it has been the heart of our community since then!

We hold two major book sales per year in Spring and Fall. Visit our Corner Book Shop during library hours. Check out our Ebay shop for antiquarian, collectible, coffee table, first editions and a wonderful collection for all ages.

The Friends of the EGR Library and Library Manager make smart, long-term decisions on how funding is allocated.
